The greatest movie of all time (no pun intended) to me is Back to the Future Trilogy. As a kid, I first saw the movie at just 5 years old. It had just come out on VHS and I watched it nonstop. I don’t think five year olds are supposed to watch Back to the Future. But I did. And rest assured I loved it. I fell in love with every aspect of the movie: Marty playing the electric guitar through Doc’s insane speaker system, driving an awesome Delorean car, traveling the space-time continuum and making everything right, and falling in love with his awesome girlfriend Jennifer. When I think about how this movie is so ingrained in my psyche it is undoubtedly and obviously instrumental in attracting the guitar so deeply into my life, why I love driving around my Delorean (Benz), why I am chronically getting these brand new awesome chances to enjoy these different lives as a producer, guitarist, school owner etc. Also it explains my passion for time traveling!
The night I met my beautiful girlfriend Elizabeth Randon there was a huge electrical storm in which lightning literally struck a transformer in New Canaan and sent the town out of power (true story!) (obviously similar to the clock tower being struck by lighting) we had dinner and fell in love. Since that night my life has been transformed into some alternative universe compared to what it used to be. It’s been what I always dreamed it could be. Every aspect has been booming. A few months ago Elizabeth(who is an amazing and very accomplished director) and I were asked to work on a big video production for the man himself “Doc”- Christopher Lloyd!
The video was about Doc growing up in the Waveny Park house. Who knew that was his house!! The video would help raise money for Waveny Park- a place I love. We were told that once the final video was edited it would be approved by him and then shown to many guests at a giant party in December at his house with him. Until this moment in time I have kept this under my hat and it has been so hard.
Last night was the gala at “Doc” Brown’s house and mine and Elizabeth’s video production was screened!! I chilled with Doc all night, had a dinner fit for a time traveler, hooked him up with cigars- he LOVES cigars- and partied with him and even better I was the photographer for the night as well. I am sharing a bunch of these insane photos below. When I say this man has more stories than Gandalf and Dumbledore and Dr Xavier... there was nothing like sitting with him in his family estate and hearing them all night long. The place was decorated so well it LOOKED like time travel. Our video was screened and vey well received! And best of all- to preserve Doc’s house and Waveny Park- over 1 million dollars was raised... how incredible to be a part of this beautiful night and cause and to fulfill a lifelong dream of chilling with Doc. We are keeping in touch!
Today I will be watching the Back to the Future trilogy on repeat. That and hopping in my Dolorean and fixing the space-time continuum if anyone needs me. Shoutout to Pamela Randon and William Randon you guys are the GREATEST. Love you both.

I first came upon this method in my early twenties and moreso, the students of Fairfield county. I swear, there is something in the water. This kids play beautifully and I know that through my new school they will grow into the next generation of monster guitar players... The method is the most well formed classical guitar method on earth to me, and I have learned so much through the SAA about how really to teach young people tone guitar monsters...
There is a long lineage of great guitar teachers who came through Talent Education Suzuki School and trained these young stallions so well. Respect to all of you, and respect to Becki Chrisopherson who attracted a rich and diverse set of students to TESS. We are born out of TESS and carry on the torch of excellence from where we were born!
We are currently working with composers on new works for guitar including Nick Revel and Javier Farias on new programs of music. Now is the time to expand the repertoire for these children and children everywhere. We are also planning our first Summit, with Alfonso Aguirre Dergal in Madrid next year which will feature the students of the CTSGA in masterclasses, concerts and more. We also planning on tackling the GFA and learning as much as possible from that experience!
